Nutella Shortbread Cookies
Delicious Nutella shortbread cookies, indulgent and super simple to make. Perfect for a Sunday afternoon with family

If Santa Claus was invented by Coca-Cola, I had the luck of receiving before Christmas a visit from a little elf from Ferrero. In my package, a 200 g jar of Nutella, 4 small Nutellini jars for which I literally fell (given the level of cuteness, you'd be less impressed, right?) and a biscuit stamp "made with love". I theoretically had a 950 g jar (!!!) in the shape of a snowman but it arrived broken (as much as my little heart when I found out I must admit!). This package was sent to me by Ferrero to launch their "Holidays" collection. I took a while because the package arrived when I was on vacation, but I'm offering you the recipe that came with the package: little Nutella shortbread cookies!

Actually, this recipe came at the right time because it's super simple and I'm quite busy on weekends (on a top secret project that you'll soon know about #CrazyTeasing). So some good little recipes that comfort quickly, that perfectly matches my timing and my desires.

As a very pleasant surprise, even though it's "just" a shortbread recipe, I found it amazing. Usually I find that it's nothing special but these ones are really very good (and not just because of the thick layer of Nutella!).

Plus it's the kind of recipes you can make with children and it's great for a friendly Sunday afternoon with family. And the cookie cutter provided is super practical (more so than the one gathering dust at the back of my cupboard!). You can still find the 200 g jars with Christmas patterns and the big 950 g jar in supermarkets (I don't know how long the collection lasts but I still saw them on the shelf last week).

For the preparation it's super simple. Mix all the ingredients to get a dough (basically it's a classic sweet pastry recipe) and put it in the fridge for a good half hour. Then roll it out (very thinly, it's better!) and with a glass cut out biscuits with a diameter slightly larger than the stamp. Put a little flour on top and stamp the little biscuits.

To finish, go! Into the oven for 15 minutes, let it cool a bit and spread with a generous layer of Nutella. Close with another biscuit and bite into these little Nutella shortbread cookies before the box is empty!
